After dancing as a featured artist with Ballet British Columbia I resumed my career as an independent, contemporary, dance artist.

Most recently I have been seen on stage in my own work after dancing for 2 seasons with Wen Wei Dance.

Trained at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School I immediately joined Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in Montreal for 3 seasons. Following my time there I moved to Vancouver, Canada. As an independent contemporary dancer I danced in productions both locally and Nationally. For a time I formed the Edmond Kilpatrick Dance Ensemble which presented 3 major productions to venues in Vancouver's lower mainland and Vancouver Island. It was at this time my work caught the eye of Ballet British Columbia. I joined the company and danced in many of their feature roles for the next 9 years.

"Dance is something I feel. The movement inspires the sensation which inspires the experience which inspires the emotion. I am always searching for that simple, honest movement experience. Then I can trust the audience will have something genuine to respond to."

"I have always loved to move. The test for whether I'm on the right track is still, does it feel good."

Dance Teaching

I have been a consistent teacher of dance since 1995. Teaching both students and professionals ballet, contemporary dance, and composition classes.

In 2002 I moved my Boys Only program to Arts Umbrella providing young boys a safe place to dance with their peers and to have a male dancer and teacher as a role model. The program was first introduced in 2002 and has had many, many boys pass through the program. Some are now dancing professionally in companies but all of them had a cool experience when they were younger of dancing with other boys on a Saturday morning and having fun.

I have most recently taught in the Arts Umbrella Dance Program, INdustry Dance training program for pre-professionals, the fall semester Upper Level Ballet class at Simon Fraser University and for Vancouver's professional dance community.
